Betty Maude Gajdosik, 86, a long-time Janesville resident died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Edgerton Care Center. She was born in Edgerton on September 14, 1929, the oldest of 14 children of George and Myrtle (Stiff) Teubert. She married David J. Gajdosik on May 26, 1947 in Rockford, IL. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2003. Having lived in Rockford, Indianford and Janesville from 1958 to 2007, Betty returned to Edgerton to resided at Swift Haven Assisted Living Community from 2007 to 2014, then Edgerton Care Center since July of 2014. Betty and David spent many winters in Mission, TX. Betty will be best remembered for her culinary skills at the Elks Club, Vets Club, 19th Tee and the Janesville Country Club. She is a former member of the Women of the Moose # 477 and spent time in retirement at the Janesville Senior Center making dolls and quilts.
Surviving are six children, Daniel (Dawn) Gajdosik, Dale (Joyce) Gajdosik, James (Dani ) Gajdosik, John (Sue) Gajdosik, Linda (Gary) Nordeng, Clara Jo “CJ” (Phil Gredler) Hartman, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, five sisters, Nira, Jean, Virginia, Pearl and Ione, five brothers, Arthur, Larry, George, Bill and Fred as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Marriane, Charlene and Sally.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel, 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville. Rev. David Brynelson. Heartland Hospice chaplain will officiate. Visitation is at the Milton Lawns Chapel from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum. The Gajdosik family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
